NUWC Newport Division Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) for OTA Topics via UTIC Consortium

This opportunity is a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport for prototype Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) via the Undersea Technology Innovation Consortium (UTIC), managed by Advanced Technology International (ATI). - The CSO is open exclusively to UTIC Consortium members. - Seeks innovative prototype projects to enhance mission effectiveness of military personnel and undersea warfare platforms, systems, components, or materials. - Covers research, development, test and evaluation, engineering, analysis, assessment, and fleet support for: - Submarines - Autonomous underwater systems - Offensive and defensive undersea weapon systems - At least eight separate OTA competitions are anticipated under this CSO. - No specific OEMs, products, or part numbers are named; eligibility is limited to UTIC Consortium members. - Focus is on prototype projects directly relevant to Department of Defense undersea warfare needs. - The government buyer is NUWC Division Newport, under NAVSEA. - Commercial opportunities exist for companies with relevant undersea warfare technologies who are or become UTIC members.

Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport provides research, development, test and evaluation, engineering, analysis, and assessment, and fleet support capabilities for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive undersea weapon systems, and stewards existing and emerging technologies in support of undersea warfare. 

NUWC utilizes prototype Other Transaction Agreements (OTA or Agreements) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. § 4022 to partner with nontraditional and traditional defense contractors and non-profit research institutions to carry out prototype projects that are directly relevant to enhancing the mission effectiveness of military personnel and the supporting platforms, systems, components, or materials proposed to be acquired or developed by the DoD, or the improvement of platforms, systems, components, or materials in use by the armed forces. 

NUWC intends to advertise for competition at least eight separate OTAs via its Consortium OTA with the Undersea Technology Innovation Consortium (UTIC) via Advanced Technology International (ATI).
