Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary special local regulation for a section of the Manistee River to ensure safety during the Manistee National Forest Festival Duck Race on July 4, 2026. The regulation prohibits persons and vessels from entering the regulated area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Lake Michigan or their designated representative. The regulation is effective from noon to 1 p.m. on July 4, 2026, covering the area from the Maple Street Bridge to Elks Lodge in Manistee, MI. This action is necessary to protect event participants, non-participants, and transiting vessels during the event.
