Description
The FAA proposes a new airworthiness directive for certain Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500-1A11 airplanes due to a low clearance condition discovered between a hydraulic motor pump harness and the airplane structure at the aft fuselage during final assembly. The proposed directive requires modification of the harness installation to prevent harness chafing that could generate an ignition source, potentially leading to an uncontained fire in the presence of flammable fluids. Comments on this proposed rule must be received by August 13, 2026.
