This notice announces the establishment of temporary safety zones by the U.S. Coast Guard for two public events: - Government Buyer: - U.S. Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security - Sector Eastern Great Lakes Waterways Management Division (Presque Isle Bay, Erie, PA) - Sector Lower Mississippi River Waterways Management Division (Lower Mississippi River near Vidalia, LA) - Events and Services: - Temporary safety zone for the SSV NIAGARA boat parade in Presque Isle Bay, Erie, PA - All navigable waters within a 100-yard radius of the SSV NIAGARA - Purpose: Protect personnel and vessels from hazards due to increased vessel traffic and congestion - Enforcement: Entry prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port or designated representative - Temporary safety zone for a fireworks display on the Lower Mississippi River near Vidalia, LA - Purpose: Protect personnel and vessels during the fireworks event - Enforcement: Entry prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port or designated representative - No OEMs or commercial vendors are involved - No products or services are being procured; this is a regulatory safety action - Notable Requirements: - Strict enforcement of restricted zones during specified event times - Authorization required for any vessel entry into the safety zones

Description

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone surrounding the SSV NIAGARA for certain navigable waters of Presque Isle Bay, Erie, PA. This safety zone is necessary to protect personnel and vessels from potential hazards associated with a boat parade. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Eastern Great Lakes, or their designated representative. The safety zone will be enforced on July 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m.
