Description
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving Ohio's request to redesignate the Cleveland, Ohio area to attainment status for the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). This approval includes Ohio's plan to maintain the ozone standard through 2038, as well as motor vehicle emissions budgets for 2032 and 2038. The EPA is also adjusting the deadline for Ohio to submit Serious SIP revisions to December 5, 2026, and approving enhanced motor vehicle inspection and maintenance and clean fuel vehicle program certifications. The final rule is effective June 29, 2026.
