NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:

The US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District intends to award a sole source contract to Propulsion Systems Inc. (PSI) of Seattle, Washington, CAGE Code: 27046, to complete a tear down inspection of the Dredge Wheeler left hand propulsion hub and pressure shrunk coupling.  NAICS code is 336611-Shipbuilding and Repairing with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,300 employees. The PSC code is J020 - Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment - Ship and Marine Equipment.  Propulsion Systems Inc. (PSI) of Seattle,Washington, is the sole manufacturer of the propulsion hub, pressure shrunk coupling, and other associated components used aboard the Dredge Wheeler.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time.

Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award.
