Description

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Columbia Environmental Research Center, plans to fund a non-competitive purchase order to InnovaSea Marine Systems Canada Inc., formerly Vemco, for Innovasea V9-2x-A69-2801 69 kHz acoustic transmitters (quantity 100). There are no option year periods. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed-price; delivery 8 weeks ARO.Innovasea is the sole manufacturer and seller of the Vemco family of acoustic telemetry transmitters and receivers and has been the established operational standard for large scale, multi-agency fish movement and population research in the Great Lakes basin for more than three decades. Continued use of Innovasea transmitters avoids the significant cost and scientific risk associated with transitioning to a non-compatible telemetry platform mid-project. Use of the same manufacturer for newly deployed transmitters ensures uninterrupted data continuity, study comparability, and access to manufacturer-supported analytical services including false detection analysis and fine scale positioning. In accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 5.101(c)(4)(vi), all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency; however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
