NASA's Shared Services Center (NSSC) is seeking to procure research-grade Gallium Nitride (GaN) amplifiers for use at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC). - Government Buyer: - NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC), supporting NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) - OEM/Vendor: - GANIFY, INC. (sole source, located at University of California Santa Barbara) - Products Requested: - 20 research-grade Gallium Nitride (GaN) amplifiers - Must operate at 800°C in air for at least 1 hour - Transistor minimum On/Off ratio of 500 - Chip size not exceeding 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm - Specific pin layout required - Unity gain bandwidth of 0.5 MHz - Minimum gain of 20 dB - Rail-rail voltage (Vdd-Vss) of 15 V or less - Includes in-situ and ex-situ electrical testing of representative amplifiers - Delivery of testing documentation required - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Extreme high-temperature operation (800°C) - Strict performance and size specifications - Testing and documentation deliverables - Sole source justification: GANIFY, INC. is the only identified provider - NAICS code: 334419 (Other Electronic Component Manufacturing)

Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Research grade Gallium Nitride amplifier. 

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to GANIFY, INC., Elings Hall Bldg 266 Room 3448 University Of California Santa Barbara, California 93106-0001, under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that GANIFY, INC. is the sole provider of Research grade Gallium Nitride amplifier

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Glenn Research Center (GRC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334419

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 8:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on 7/2/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
