The U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), through its Institute for Telecommunication Sciences (ITS), is seeking sources for a comprehensive rebuild and upgrade of the Table Mountain Field Site fiber optic network. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Commerce - National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) - Institute for Telecommunication Sciences (ITS) - OEMs and Vendors: - Cisco (for core networking switches) - No other specific OEMs named; industry-standard fiber optic and networking equipment required - Products Requested: - Approximately 18 km of armored single-mode fiber optic cable (at least 432 fibers) - Outside plant boxes, cabinets, and pedestals for fiber termination and protection - Fiber distribution bays for building interconnection - Fiber optic transceivers with high-speed interfaces and demultiplexing capability - Core Cisco pass-through switches with 200G/25G optics - CAT 6A networking cable, 4-port data plates, and distribution panels - Industry-standard signage and markers for cable identification - Electrical or fiber optic jumper cables - Services Requested: - Telecommunications network and civil engineering design - Equipment procurement and delivery - Fiber optic network construction and installation (including fusion splicing and as-built documentation) - Networking equipment installation, power-up, interconnection, labeling, and testing - CAT 6A cabling installation and testing to workstations - Project closeout, documentation, and final acceptance - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Fiber optic network must support data rates exceeding 10 Gbps - Directional ring configuration connecting multiple buildings and field sites - Underground installation with armored cable for durability - All work must comply with relevant standards and building codes - Project duration not to exceed 365 days from commencement, with a total period of performance up to 2 years from award - All technical and scope details provided in the Statement of Work attachment
