This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY The intent of this Sources Sought Announcement is to assist in our decision-making process for services procurement. This is not a solicitation, nor request for quotes or proposals. Through the receipt of responses, this will enable a more precise type of procurement process. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award of a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. Responses to this notice shall be sent by email to larry.facio@va.gov by the due date and time of 07/03/2026 by 1:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). Capabilities Statement should address all items listed below along with informal pricing based on hourly rate for each position based on Mon-Friday, 0730 - 4:00 pm, without any dynamic elements such as weekend or night/swing shift at play. Use attached Sources Sought Informal Pricing worksheet and include with submittal. GENERAL: This is a personnel services contract to provide Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (R), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound/Vascular (US), Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Interventional Radiology (CI)/ Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI), Health Technician, and Medical Support Assistant (MSA) staffing and may cover a range of services that are normally but not limited to services provided in a similar civilian healthcare facility in accordance with the specifications and requirements contained herein. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor, who, in turn, is responsible to the Government. Objectives include: 3.0 FTE Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) 3.0 FTE Computed Tomography (CT) 3.0 FTE Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (R) 3.0 FTE Diagnostic Sonographer Ultrasound/Vascular (RVT) 1.0 FTE Nuclear Medicine (N) 2.0 FTE Cardiac (CI)/Vascular (VI) Interventional Radiology 9.0 FTE Medical Support Assistant (MSA) 1.0 FTE Health Technician Scope involves providing clinical, technical, and administrative staffing support on a varied and sometimes immediate basis. Services include establishing a contract to provide radiology services on an as-needed basis to the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS). Period of Performance: 10/01/2026 - 09/30/2031 Place of Performance: The work will be performed at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHCS). Specific Tasks Basic Services The services to be provided to the Radiology Service include intermittent staffing support for various modalities such as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, CT, MRI, US, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac/Vascular Interventional, PA in Radiology, Health Aide, and Administrative MSA. Each modality has different requirements and may need immediate filling. The contractor shall provide services for: Diagnostic Radiology Technologist (MRI) Balances the needs of the patients and staff while performing complex scans and procedures. Demonstrates techniques to gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers. Assesses contraindications for procedures. Maintains knowledge of assessment, aseptic techniques, intravenous skills, and universal precautions. Enforces MRI safety policies and procedures. Meets ARRT registration or standards for HRMS compliance. Receives patients, ensures proper identification, provides education, and assesses patient condition for safety and comfort. Interviews patients to determine contraindications for MRI. Functions as an expert regarding MRI software and hardware capabilities. Balances patient and staff needs during complex procedures. Prepares for MRI procedures, including setup, selecting pulse sequences, and optimizing system parameters. Maintains protocol exam booklet, recommends updates, and coordinates with medical staff. Monitors patient condition, maintains cleanliness, and ensures safety and infection control. Performs daily quality control, monitors equipment, and maintains quality assurance programs. Performs all major duties including scheduling, prioritizing, and coordinating MRI examinations. Performs venipuncture and contrast injections as necessary. Serves as liaison with management and other departments. Advises on MRI protocols and updates policies. Provides training and cross-training for staff. Similar detailed descriptions are provided for other modalities such as CT, Radiography, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, and Cardiac/Vascular Interventional procedures, emphasizing safety, technical expertise, patient care, and coordination with medical staff. Other Support Roles Medical Support Assistant: Handles appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, communication, and administrative tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and patient experience. Health Technician: Provides mobility assistance, responds to emergencies, assists with patient positioning, and maintains a safe environment. Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Performs nuclear medicine procedures, manages radioactive materials, and ensures safety and compliance. Cardiac/Vascular Interventional Technologist: Assists with interventional procedures, patient preparation, equipment setup, and emergency response. All roles emphasize safety, technical proficiency, patient care, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
