This notice announces a sole source contract extension awarded by the Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA) to Peterson’s LLC for the DANTES Academic Skills Training Program. - Sole source contract modification awarded to Peterson’s LLC (no competition) - Extends existing contract (H9821021C0004) for one month, with option for up to six months total extension under FAR 52.217-8 - Extension is required due to a protest delaying the follow-on contract award - Program provides academic skills training in math, English, and science to Service members for college placement, reclassification, and military advancement - No new vendors, products, or part numbers are solicited; only Peterson’s LLC is referenced - Action is supported by a Justification and Approval (J&A) document - Program is congressionally funded through 2029 and supports Project Patriot Pipeline initiatives - Period of performance: current contract ends 29 June 2026; extension may run up to six months beyond this date, including a one-month transition period

Description

In accordance with FAR 6.103-1, the Defense Human Resources Activity awarded a modification to the existing DANTES Academic Skills Training contract H9821021C0004 on a sole source basis to Peterson’s LLC.  The modification extends performance for one (1) month pursuant to FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services; however, FAR 52.217-8 and the attached Justification and Approval enable up to a total of six (6) months to be exercised.  The redacted Justification and Approval regarding this action is included. 

This is not a solicitation for proposals or an invitation for bids.  The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice of a non-competitive action.
