Description
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving source-specific State Implementation Plan (SIP) revisions submitted by Ohio. These revisions address major source volatile organic compound (VOC) and nitrogen oxide (NOX) reasonably available control technology (RACT) requirements for the Cleveland, OH Moderate nonattainment area, which includes Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit counties, for the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). The affected facilities include Lubrizol, Henkel, and Cleveland-Cliffs Cleveland Works. With this approval, Ohio has fully satisfied the Moderate area RACT requirements of the Clean Air Act (CAA) with respect to the 2015 ozone standard for the Cleveland area.
