Saskatoon Public Library (SPL) is seeking proposals for Security Personnel Services across multiple library locations. - Government Buyer: - Saskatoon Public Library (SPL) - Scope of Services: - Security Personnel Services at Frances Morrison Central Library, Dr. Freda Ahenakew Library, Mayfair Library, Carlyle King Library, and potential future locations - Facilities-based security, incident response, access control, patrols, and book return checks - On-demand security for special events and planned requirements - Quantities Requested: - 24,062 security personnel hours annually - 3,370 shift supervisor hours annually - 260 book drop checks annually - Notable Requirements: - Security staff must interact effectively with vulnerable or marginalized patrons and those displaying conduct outside SPL's Safe Use and Conduct Bylaw - Mandatory licensing, insurance, and references - Indigenous participation is encouraged - Contract Details: - Two-year initial term with an option to extend for an additional two years - Services required year-round except statutory holidays and Sundays in July and August - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation

Description

This request for proposal invites qualified consultants and/or firms to provide Security Personnel Services for the Saskatoon Public Library (SPL) at multiple library locations including Frances Morrison Central Library, Dr. Freda Ahenakew Library, Mayfair Library, Carlyle King Library, and any future locations added by SPL with adequate notice. The security personnel are responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment by detecting, deterring, observing, responding, and reporting safety and security-related incidents and suspicious activity. The contract term is two years with an option to extend for an additional two years under certain conditions. Payment terms are net 30 days with monthly invoicing.
