Description
The Office of Community Services (OCS), administratively attached to the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, is requesting proposals from qualified applicants to provide comprehensive services in at least one county under the Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The program provides funding for individuals aged 60 or older with income less than 185% of the federal poverty level to purchase fresh locally grown produce. Services include organizing relationships with farmers, certifying participants, issuing and redeeming coupons, and providing nutrition education. The contract period is for one program year with an option to extend for a second year, subject to performance and funding availability.
