The City of Lakeland is seeking a qualified provider for citywide drug and alcohol testing services for all departments and work locations. - Government Buyer: - City of Lakeland Risk Management & Purchasing Department - Scope of Services: - Comprehensive drug and alcohol testing for approximately 2,700 employees, including 1,600 first responders/safety-sensitive positions and 400 commercial drivers - DOT and non-DOT drug screens - DOT and non-DOT alcohol testing - On-site after-hours and random drug/alcohol testing - Management of the random selection process for testing pools - Compliance Requirements: - Must adhere to all federal, state, local, and city laws, including the Florida Drug-Free Workplace Act - Services must comply with the City’s Drug-Free Workplace & Mandatory Testing Policy - Notable Details: - Experience with similar public entities is required - Contract may be used by other Florida public agencies under the Interlocal Cooperation Act - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation; incumbent provider is Medi-Test, Inc. - Contract Structure: - Initial term of three years, with two optional one-year extensions (up to five years total)

This solicitation is for citywide drug and alcohol testing services, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and other testing services. The contract period is for three years with options to extend. The project requires submission of references, certifications, insurance certificates, and other documentation.
