The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is seeking bids for the replacement and installation of hoist and trolley systems at the Giddings Metrology Laboratory. - Government Buyer: - Texas Department of Agriculture, Purchasing and Contracting Office - OEMs and Vendors: - Shawbox (Original Equipment Manufacturer referenced) - Equivalent manufacturers permitted - Products/Services Requested: - Two (2) 800 Series Shawbox electric wire rope hoists or equivalent - Minimum 3 ton capacity, dual speed, 18 FPM lift speed, 460V, overload protection, heavy-duty motor, pushbutton control - Two (2) trolley units (one large mass trolley, one drive-thru trolley) - Large Mass Trolley: 25 ft. span, 18 ft. lift, 460 VAC - Drive Thru Trolley: 14 ft. span, 18 ft. lift, 460 VAC - Turnkey labor for removal of two existing 700 series Shawbox hoists and trolleys, and installation of new units - Installation services including site verification, mounting, rail adjustments, structural verification, load test certification, and compliance with OSHA/NEC standards - Minimum one-year warranty with maintenance and support - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Texas procurement laws and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) subcontracting goals - Load testing and certification required - Warranty must include parts, labor, and maintenance with defined response times - All work must be completed within the contract period (effective date through August 31, 2027)

Description

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), an agency of the State of Texas, is soliciting bids for the installation of two 800 series Shawbox Series or equivalent hoists to replace the existing two 700 series Shawbox hoists. The equipment is to be delivered and installed at the Giddings Metrology Laboratory in Giddings, Texas. The objective is to obtain equipment and services that represent the best value for TDA and the State of Texas under the terms of the solicitation. The solicitation includes installation and removal services as well as the supply of chain hoists and cable lifts.
