Description
The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) is issuing a Solicitation (sealed bid) for the purpose of repairing the Country Club Bridge west stoplog foundation located near Sunland Park in El Paso County, Texas.
The project generally consists of installing a new expansion joint and repairing deteriorated concrete at the stoplog structure. The proposed repairs will restore movement between the roadway and stoplog foundation structure, reduce further deterioration, and maintain a safe and serviceable bridge approach. Construction activities will require traffic control measures including lane or full closure and coordination with local agencies to maintain safe traffic operations during construction.
Major Tasks Include:
1. Mobilization and demobilization.
2. Traffic control permitting, implementation and maintenance.
3. Sawcutting and removal of existing expansion joint materials.
4. Installation of new expansion joint filler, backer rod, and sealant.
5. Repair of deteriorated and spalled concrete surfaces.

The work is located in El Paso, Texas. A site visit date will be listed in the Solicitation. The work will be performed under NAICS Code 237990. The Contract will be firm-fixed price.
The anticipated actual construction duration is approximately two (2) weeks. However, a traffic control permit requires City of El Paso and TxDOT approval for work on the heavily trafficked Country Club Rd.
All work shall be completed within ninety (90) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The final paperwork for closeout of the Contact shall be completed within thirty (30) calendar days of completion of construction. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises.
The Solicitation, plans, and specifications are expected to be posted on or about 10 July 2026 (this is a target date which may slip or change). The Solicitation will be available for a minimum of thirty (30) calendar days.
