The City of Kingston is seeking architectural and engineering consulting services for the restoration of the Hanson Memorial Parking Structure at 105 Brock Street. - Government Buyer: - City of Kingston, Facilities Management and Construction Services - Project Manager: Richard Mitchell, P.Eng - Scope of Services: - Detailed design and contract administration for restoration work - Construction RFP assistance, permit acquisition, and project management using Aconex software - Construction administration, field services, quality assurance, site observation, deficiency and warranty reviews - Restoration Work Includes: - Repair of deteriorated concrete and masonry (approx. 3100 m3 containing silica) - Replacement of failed and aged sealants - Replacement of slab waterproofing membrane - Repair and replacement of expansion joints (asbestos not detected) - Cleaning and painting of miscellaneous metals - Repainting of all traffic lines and markings - Replacement of mechanical ventilation equipment - Flushing and cleaning of the drainage system - Replacement of damaged and deficient conduits and cables - Replacement of exit lighting (approx. 290 fluorescent tubes containing mercury) - Installation of door hardware at stairwell access points - Replacement of guards along interior floor height changes (lead-containing black paint on guard rails, up to 7,480 ppm) - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Ontario health and safety standards - Adherence to hazardous materials regulations, including handling/removal of lead paint, mercury-containing lamps, and silica dust - Maintain at least 75% parking availability during construction - Estimated construction value: approximately $2 million - No specific OEMs or product brands are named in the solicitation

The City of Kingston is seeking Architectural or Engineering Services for detailed design and contract administration of the 2024 restoration work at the Hanson Memorial Parking Structure located at 105 Brock St., Kingston, Ontario. The scope includes repair of deteriorated concrete, replacement of sealants and waterproofing membrane, repair and replacement of expansion joints, cleaning and painting of metals, repainting traffic lines, replacement of mechanical ventilation equipment, cleaning of drainage system, replacement of conduits, cables, exit lighting, installation of door hardware, and replacement of guards.
