Description

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for certain navigable waters of Rainy Lake near Ranier Beach Park, Ranier, MN. This safety zone is necessary to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards during a fireworks display on August 8, 2026. Entry of vessels or persons into this safety zone is prohibited during the enforcement period unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Marine Safety Unit Duluth or their designated representative. The safety zone covers all navigable waters within a 200-yard radius of the fireworks barge and is effective from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on August 8, 2026.
