Description
The Department of Defense (DoD) is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement sections of the National Defense Authorization Acts for Fiscal Years 2024, 2025, and 2026. The amendments require full domestic production of U.S. flags acquired by DoD, revise exceptions to the requirement to buy certain articles from American sources, and expand domestic sourcing requirements for seafood acquired for commissary resale. The proposed rule lowers the acquisition threshold for U.S. flags from $150,000 to $10,000 and consolidates Berry Amendment requirements into a single clause for simplicity.
