Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters within a 420 foot radius of the Solstice Steps in Lakewood, OH on Lake Erie on July 4, 2026, for the Lakewood Independence Day fireworks. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel and vessels from potential hazards created by the firework show. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Eastern Great Lakes or his designated representative. The safety zone will be enforced from 9:30 p.m. through 11 p.m. on July 4, 2026, with a rain date of July 5, 2026, during the same hours.
