Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary special local regulation (SLR) for certain navigable waters of Sandusky Bay in Sandusky, OH to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment during a swim event on July 19, 2026. The regulation prohibits persons and vessels from entering the regulated area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Detroit or their designated representative. The SLR covers all navigable waters of Sandusky Bay extending 400 yards from shore from Jackson St. Pier to the Shelby Street Boat Launch. The regulation is effective from 4 a.m. through 10 a.m. on July 19, 2026.
