This opportunity involves the replacement of range netting and chain link fencing at the DeLaveaga Golf Course driving range in Santa Cruz, CA. - Government Buyer: - City of Santa Cruz Public Works Department, Engineering Division - Parks and Recreation Department also involved - OEMs and Vendors: - LFS Sports & Industrial Netting is the specified OEM for the golf netting (#930), but approved equivalents are allowed - Products/Services Requested: - Removal and replacement of approximately 970 linear feet of perimeter golf netting (LFS Sports & Industrial Netting #930 or equivalent) - Installation of new UV-treated polyester netting with sewn-in borders - Removal and installation of approximately 970 linear feet of extra high strength galvanized cable (5/16" and 3/8") - Installation of new heavy-duty galvanized hardware - Removal and replacement of approximately 1,170 linear feet of 4-foot chain-link fence, including new galvanized posts, top and bottom railing, and 9 gauge 1 mesh fence - Repair or replacement of two 16'W x 14'T access gates, including hardware, welding, and adjustments - Confirmation of ability to lock and secure gates - Removal and proper disposal of all existing netting, cable, hardware, and chain-link fence materials - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations for off-road diesel-fueled fleets (Certificates of Reported Compliance required) - Adherence to California labor laws, prevailing wage requirements, and local hiring efforts - Project must be completed within 15 working days after commencement; the driving range will be closed during construction - Hard copy bid submission is required

The project involves replacing the perimeter netting surrounding the DeLaveaga Driving Range, which has deteriorated due to UV exposure, wind, and weather. The scope includes replacing approximately 970 linear feet of golf netting, relocating existing cables and hardware, installing new hardware, removing and replacing 1,170 linear feet of 4-foot chain-link perimeter fence, repairing two access gates, and disposing of all removed materials. The driving range will be closed during construction, which is scheduled to start around September 21, 2026, and must be completed in 15 working days. Bids are due by July 15, 2026, with a hard copy submission required at the Public Works Department in Santa Cruz, CA.
