The National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) of the National Science Foundation (NSF) seeks proposals for research projects, doctoral dissertation improvement awards, conferences, experimental research, survey research and data collection, and dissemination projects. The focus is on enhancing analytic and methodological research to support NCSES surveys and promote education and training in the use of large-scale nationally representative datasets. Research topics include the use of NCSES or other data to study the science and technology enterprise, development of improved survey methodologies, exploration of alternate data sources, creation and improvement of indicators, strengthening data analysis methodologies, and innovative communication of S&T statistics.
