The U.S. Embassy Kampala is seeking a contractor to provide preventive maintenance services for its solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Embassy Kampala, GSO Procurement & Contracting Office - Scope of Work: - Preventive maintenance for three standalone solar PV installations (including modules, inverters, disconnects, controls, and monitoring equipment) - Annual inspection, adjustment, cleaning, testing, and reporting - Training for four Locally Employed Staff (LES) on PV system maintenance and operation - Contractor must provide labor rates for potential repair services (repairs themselves are not included in the base contract) - Products/Services Requested: - Preventive maintenance service for three PV systems - Training and demonstration for four LES - Notable Requirements: - Training component is mandatory for local staff - Maintenance covers a range of PV system components - Firm fixed price contract with annual scheduled maintenance and possible unscheduled/emergency work - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are mentioned in the solicitation - Contract Structure: - One-year base period with up to four one-year option periods

Description

The United States Embassy Kampala requires professional services and contractor cost proposals to perform preventive maintenance services of the facility’s photovoltaic systems and offer training to the LE staff in the base year.

The Solar PV Systems comprise of 3 standalone compound installations located on 1 system on top of 1 building roof and (b) 2 systems on top of another building roof.

The contract will be for a period of one-year, with a maximum of four one-year optional periods of performance.

Proposals are due by 1700hrs (Kampala Time) on July 9, 2026. No proposals will be accepted after this time.
