Description
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wyoming and Nebraska Wild Horse and Burro Program requires professional hoof trimming services at the Wheatland Off-Range Corral in Wheatland, Wyoming. This facility houses an average of approximately 2,000 wild horses and burros, with numbers fluctuating based on program operations. Routine hoof care is necessary to maintain the health and soundness of the animals while they are in holding.The contractor shall provide skilled farrier services to safely and efficiently trim hooves with minimal stress to the animals, in coordination with BLM staff and in accordance with the Comprehensive Animal Welfare Program (CAWP). Work will typically occur Monday through Friday, with the capability to trim up to 100 animals per day using government-furnished equipment and facilities.Combined Synopsis/Solicitation i. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.ii.
