THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE.
This Sources Sought is in support of Market Research being conducted by the Alabama Army National Guard, and is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication that a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market research.
The Alabama National Guard is requesting information, pursuant to FAR PART 10, in order to identify potential sources to perform OCIE (Organizational Clothing Issue & Equipment) Laundry Support. This service must be performed within the boundaries of the State of Alabama. This requirement will consist of laundering or drycleaning of military gear such as helmet covers, cold weather jackets, and sleeping bag systems. Please see the attached CIF_PWS_DRAFT (Technical Exhibit 4) for List fo laundry Items.
Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and nonpersonal services necessary to perform required service.
The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 812320 Drycleaning and Laundry Services (except Coin Operated) which has a corresponding Size Standard of - $8 Million.The Government is interested in all small businesses. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime, and the work accomplished by the teaming partners.
1. 2. Your capability statement should demonstrate a firm understanding of the requirements, addressing the following, at a minimum: a. Provide a brief history of your business, to include organization structure, experience in providing medical support to the commercial market and how you have the resources necessary to fulfill the PWS requirements. b. Describe subcontracting services previously utilized. If you are a small business, explain how you would conduct 51% of the work if this requirement was set aside for small businesses. c. Describe how your current commercial/federal contracts are structured.
3. Please identify potential issues, questions, or problems with the PWS that may make it difficult to perform or greatly increase the cost of the performance.
