The Department of the Navy, through the Naval Operating Base Norfolk and Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) under NAVSEA, is seeking rental services for critical air handling equipment to support shipyard operations. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy - Naval Operating Base Norfolk - Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) - Products/Services Requested: - Rental of one (1) 800 CFM oil-free rotary screw Grade D Air Compressor - Must deliver Grade D air per CGA G-7.1 or ISO 8573-1 Class 0 - Fixed speed, electrically powered (460 VAC, 3-phase, 60HZ) - Includes moisture separator and weather-resistant (NEMA Type 4) components - Rental of one (1) 930 CFM minimum heatless, twin tower regenerative air dryer unit - Non-refrigerated, uses hygroscopic desiccant - Electrically powered (110/120 VAC, 1-phase, 60HZ) - Produces dry, oil-free air with a dew point of -65°F - Weather-resistant (NEMA Type 4) components - Service Requirements: - Delivery, setup, and pickup of all equipment - 24/7 on-call repair service with replacement if not repairable within 72 hours - All necessary accessories and materials included at no extra cost - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Equipment must meet stringent Grade D breathing air standards - Oil-free, weather-resistant, and capable of continuous operation - Rental period with initial term and monthly extension options up to six months - Set aside for Total Small Businesses under NAICS 532490 - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are specified; commercial-grade equipment is required

Description

Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Contract for the rental of one (1) 800 cfm Air Compressor and one (1) 930 cfm minimum Regenerative Air Dryer Unit. The required items are for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR subpart 12.1, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.

The proposed contract action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Total Small Businesses only. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code applicable to this procurement is 532490. The small business size standard is 1400. The Product Service Code is W043.
