The program safeguards lives and property by integrating preparedness activities of high-risk nonprofit organizations with broader state and local preparedness efforts. Funding is provided through two sources: NSGP - Urban Area for nonprofits in designated high-risk urban areas, and NSGP - State for nonprofits outside these areas. The State Administrative Agency administers the funds and coordinates with eligible nonprofits.
