Description

The City of Dubuque Water Department is requesting sealed bids for the purchase and delivery of Calcium Oxide (High Calcium Quicklime) for the remainder of FY 2027 through June 30, 2027, with the contract potentially extending month-to-month thereafter by mutual agreement. The quicklime must meet or exceed ANSI/AWWA B202-19 and ANSI/NSF 60 standards, be suitable for potable water treatment, and be of high quality, freshly burned, and free from coarse residue and foreign matter. The lime shall be sized between one-quarter inch to three-quarters inch, with a guaranteed Calcium Oxide content of at least 90%, and must pass specific reactivity and purity tests as per the B202 standard. The City will verify material specifications using standard sieves and requires detailed analysis with the bid submission.
