The City of San Mateo is seeking a contractor for the Biogas and Biosolids Evaluation: Digester 1 Cleaning project. - Government Buyer: - City of San Mateo Public Works Department - Project overseen by the City Council - Scope of Work: - Mobilization and demobilization of all necessary equipment, vehicles, temporary piping, power, lighting, and safety apparatus - Complete removal and cleaning of all contents from Digester 1, including liquid, grit, soil, rocks, scum, rags, hair, struvite, and other debris - Offsite disposal of all digester contents and cleaning debris in covered, watertight containers - Design, installation, and later removal of interior scaffolding to enable access for blasting, coating, and repair work - High-pressure water cleaning and abrasive blasting of all interior surfaces (walls, ceiling, floor, piping, supports, fittings, and appurtenances) - Coordination with confined space entry requirements and adherence to all safety protocols - Optional bid item: screening and transfer of suitable digester material to Digester 2, with offsite disposal of remaining unsuitable material - Notable Requirements: - Contractor must be a licensed Class A Contractor in California - Compliance with prevailing wage laws and local health orders is mandatory - Estimated construction cost is $1,100,000 - Contract period is 130 working days from Notice to Proceed, with deferred scaffold removal after follow-on work - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named in the solicitation
