The City of Rockford Public Works Department is seeking bids for the South Pierpont Avenue Resurfacing project, scheduled for completion in 2026. - Government Buyer: - City of Rockford, Finance Department, Central Services Division - Scope of Work: - Milling and resurfacing of South Pierpont Avenue from West State Street to Delaware Street - Full width mill and overlay, including removal and replacement of 2" surface pavement (8,000 SY) - Curb and gutter removal and replacement (3,020 LF), including construction of combination concrete curb and gutter, Type M-6.18 (Modified) - Sidewalk removal (8,900 SF) and construction of new 4" PCC sidewalk and ADA ramps (8,900 SF), with detectable warning surfaces (80 SF) - Approach pavement removal (183 SY) and construction of 6" PCC approach pavement (170 SY) - Hot-mix asphalt surface course placement (1,025 tons), hand method asphalt placement (5 tons), aggregate base repair (80 SY), and bituminous prime coat application (800 gallons) - Earth excavation (50 CY) and parkway restoration - Adjustment and reconstruction of manholes (12 adjusted, 1 reconstructed), sanitary riser/valve box adjustment (1), inlet and pipe protection (13), inlet adjustments (5), and inlet adjustments with new frame and grate (5) - Installation of thermoplastic pavement markings: 4" (3,490 LF), 6" (75 LF), and letters/symbols (105 LF) - Traffic control and protection throughout the project - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and workforce data forms - Strict construction scheduling, including work hour restrictions and coordination with school schedules - Erosion and sediment control measures - ADA compliance for sidewalk and ramp construction - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named; materials and products are standard for road construction - All work must adhere to provided specifications, plan sheets, and regulatory requirements.
