Description
This document amends U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations to indefinitely suspend the de minimis administrative exemption for imports valued at $800 or less arriving via all modes other than the international postal network. As a result, all entries of merchandise valued at $800 or less arriving through these modes must utilize formal or informal entry procedures. The rule aims to protect revenue, prevent unlawful importations, and address challenges related to low-value shipments in the e-commerce environment. Comments on the rule are requested and must be received by July 24, 2026.
