Description
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is conducting a test of a new electronic informal entry type 13 for merchandise entering the United States through the international mail process. This test allows qualified participants to file informal entries electronically in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) for shipments valued at $2,500 or less, including those previously eligible for the de minimis exemption. The test aims to facilitate legitimate trade, automate data collection, and ensure compliance with applicable requirements. Participation is voluntary and open to owners, purchasers, licensed customs brokers, and carriers involved in international mail shipments to the U.S. The test will start on September 22, 2026, and continue until further notice.
