Description

The City of Elgin, Illinois is soliciting sealed bids for the Various East Side Streets Resurfacing Project. The project involves resurfacing approximately 18,750 linear feet of streets and includes labor, materials, and equipment for hot-mix asphalt patching, milling, binder and surface courses, concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement, adjustment or reconstruction of structures, pavement markings, landscape restoration, and other miscellaneous work as per contract plans and specifications. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of 5% of the bid amount and the successful bidder must provide a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the contract price. The project is subject to Illinois Prevailing Wage laws and Elgin's Responsible Bidders Ordinance and Residency Requirements.
