Description

The District requires professional archaeological consulting services for two municipal capital projects: The Junction Park Building Project and The Squamish Adventure Centre Revitalization Project – Phase 2. Both projects involve ground disturbance within the traditional territory of the Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) and require Archaeological Impact Assessments under the Heritage Conservation Act. The services must meet provincial regulatory requirements and support responsible project delivery, informed by First Nations policies and provincial legislation. A District-wide GIS-based Archaeological Overview Assessment is nearing completion and will inform the services after award.
