Description
Scope of New Work: The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, and supervision necessary for the execution of this contract. The following is a description of the system for the PA system to be installed at the Tuskegee VA Center, Tuskegee, Alabama. This will include the removal of the existing speakers, hardware and cable. The Contractor shall:
Replace currently public address system with a new Bogen Paging System with automatic failover for fault tolerance with minimal downtime Place CSD2XVRU speakers as marked in blue on the provided plans Place SEC4T speakers as marked in magenta on the provided plans Place MB8TSQ speakers as marked in Green on the provided plans Place SPT158A horns as marked in Purple on the provided plans Work with VA OIT personnel to coordinate connecting all paging devices to the existing VA network infrastructure Work with VA OIT personnel to coordinate interconnecting the paging system to the VA phone system to enable paging from the existing VA telephone system Install cabling to connect the new speakers to the new paging amplifiers Mount the new amplifiers and paging controllers in locations specified by drawings Provide configuration of all newly installed equipment to provide all call functionality to all newly installed speakers and will train VA personnel in day-to-day usage and management of the paging system Deliver all paging system materials listed in this proposal to the VA Hospital at the beginning of the project Remove all existing overhead paging speakers and cabling after the new system is fully operational Provide 2 sets of as-built drawings at the completion of the installation Label each speaker to identify the location of the amplifier to which it is connected Provide daily job reports to VA personnel detailing work progress Ensure that all amplifiers and controllers are updated to the most recent firmware prior to the system cutover
General: All work will be done according to VA specifications, Design Guides, Infection Control guidelines and all applicable codes. The work will be structured to require minimum interruption of space function. All work shall meet the most current edition of NFPA/Life Safety Code and comply with all applicable building codes. Contractor shall warrant that the equipment shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship arising from normal usage for a period of one year. Work shall be in accordance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Contractor shall field verify each condition prior to bid. Contractor is responsible for the removal of all debris from the worksite.
