The United States Air Force (USAF), through the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC WIU), is seeking a comprehensive Degraded Visual Environment System (DVES) solution for the HH-60W Jolly Green II helicopter. - Government Buyer: - United States Air Force (USAF) - Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) - Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance - Special Operations Forces (WIU) - Products/Services Requested: - Degraded Visual Environment System (DVES) for HH-60W helicopters - System must provide real-time hazard detection and display on cockpit and cabin screens - Must function in a range of degraded visual environments, including: - Ambient/artificial conditions (smoke, smog, snow, night sand/dust) - Aircraft-induced conditions (brownout/whiteout) - Includes design, development, testing, integration, installation, and deployment of DVES kits - All non-recurring engineering required for installation - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Solution must be fully integrated with the HH-60W platform - No specific OEMs, part numbers, or quantities provided - Real-time hazard detection and clear display are critical performance requirements - Contract may extend up to eight years, including options - No OEMs or vendors are named in the notice

Description of Anticipated Requirement:

The United States Air Force (USAF) has a need to field a system capable of addressing the issues posed by Degraded Visual Environments (DVE). The HH-60W DVES solution shall provide real-time hazard detection in both enroute and terminal areas, displaying this information clearly on cockpit and cabin displays. It shall be designed to function effectively in a variety of DVE, including those created by ambient/aritificial conditions such as smoke, smog, snow, night sand/dust, etc and aircraft-induced conditions such as brownout/whiteout. This effort will consist of the material solution and all non-recurring engineering required to install a DVE solution on to the HH-60W Jolly Green II helicopter, including the design, development, testing, integration, procurement, installation, and deployment of the DVES kits. 

Anticipated Contract Period of Performance: One (1) base period of twenty-four (24) months with One (1) Ordering Period and One (1) Option to turn on Ordering Periods 2-6. This establishes an total potential period of performance of eight (8) years.
