Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to West Virginia University, Inc. for the purchase of a service agreement for Supporting coal miners by characterizing their perspectives on black lung screening and low-dose computed tomography for lung health monitoring. Understanding the barriers and potential facilitators to participation in the Coal Workers' Health Surveillance Program (CWHSP) is essential for developing effective outreach and support systems to enhance screening uptake and, ultimately, improve health outcomes among coal workers. The anticipated period of performance is 3 years (base + two options):
Base: 07/15/2026 - 07/14/2027
1st Option: 07/15/2027 – 07/14/2028
2nd Option: 07/15/2028 – 07/14/2029
This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received prior to the date and time below will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
