(manufacturer of Reliable FX valves) - Approved equivalent manufacturers may also be considered - Products/Services Requested: - Replacement of fire suppression dry valves at three locations: - 4" dry valve at Laundry - 2.5" dry valve at Staff Training Center - 6" dry valve at Utility Plant - Replacement of air compressors associated with the dry fire suppression system - Inspection, testing, and reporting for each replaced valve and compressor - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Use of Reliable FX valves or approved equivalents - All work must be performed by licensed fire suppression personnel - Compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and other safety/environmental regulations - Work must be completed within 120 calendar days from award, during standard weekday hours - Set aside 100% for small businesses under NAICS 335132

Description

FCI ALICEVILLE INTENDS TO AWARD TO A  RESPONSIBLE ENTITY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF FIRE SUPPRESSION DRY VALVES AND AIR COMPRESSORS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES TO REPLACE VARIOUS SIZED DRY VALVES AND AIR COMPRESSORS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DRY FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM THAT WERE INSTALLED IN 2011. SEE ATTACHED STATEMENT OF WORK FOR DETAILS.

RECEIVED QUESTIONS REGARDING THE POSTED SOLICITATION:

1. I wanted to know if the facility has had any company come in and completed any repairs on the fire protection systems and the valves? 

2. Or is this system in the same condition?
