Washington County Public Works is seeking bids for the CSAH 14 (34th St N) at High Point Dr Intersection Improvement Project in Oakdale, Minnesota. - Government Buyer: - Washington County Public Works Department, North Maintenance Shop - Project Scope: - Revise and upgrade the existing traffic signal system at the intersection - Remove and dispose of existing signal components - Install new battery backup signal service cabinet with UPS, batteries, inverter, and bypass switch - Install LED vehicle and pedestrian signal indications (housings, visors, background shields, LED lenses) - Install 11 Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) pushbutton stations (department-provided) - Install new video detection system (includes two bell/fish-eye cameras, mounting brackets, cabinet equipment, Cat5e cable; department-provided) - Install four-inch diameter aluminum pedestal poles and bases - Construct concrete foundations for poles and equipment pads - Install conduit, conduit fittings, handholes, and electrical cables/conductors - Remove 3,169 sq ft of bituminous pavement and install 1,896 sq ft of concrete walk - Apply 1,200 sq ft of crosswalk preformed thermoplastic graphics - Modify medians, update signage, and apply new striping - Notable Requirements: - All signal and electrical equipment must be MnDOT-approved - Contractor must coordinate with Xcel Energy for power service - County will provide the video detection system and APS units at no cost to the contractor - All work must comply with Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) specifications - No specific OEMs are named; all products must meet MnDOT approval standards
