Description
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is providing notice of adjusted present value factors applicable to certain retirees under the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS). This includes retirees who elect survivor annuity benefits based on post-retirement marriage, retiring employees who elect alternative forms of annuity, owe redeposits for service before March 1, 1991, or elect to credit certain service with nonappropriated fund instrumentalities. The notice also covers retirees with retirement coverage errors who can elect credit for service by taking an actuarial reduction under the Federal Erroneous Retirement Coverage Correction Act. The revised factors apply to survivor reductions or employee annuities commencing on or after October 1, 2026.
