The City of Redlands is seeking professional engineering consulting services to evaluate, develop, and design a pedestrian crossing improvement along Citrus Avenue between the north and south campuses of Redlands High School. The project aims to improve pedestrian safety, reduce vehicle-pedestrian conflicts, minimize traffic congestion, improve emergency vehicle access, enhance bicycle and pedestrian connectivity, and develop a constructible and financially feasible grade-separated crossing solution. The existing at-grade crossing presents safety concerns due to high pedestrian volumes and traffic delays. The City desires to evaluate grade-separated crossing alternatives to provide a long-term transportation solution.
