Description

The New York State Thruway Authority is seeking a qualified engineering firm to provide construction inspection services for various projects in the Buffalo Division, primarily for pavement resurfacing from MP 425.9 to 427.7 and 900.0 to 900.7. The scope includes inspection of asphalt and concrete pavement reconstruction, bridge and culvert maintenance, retaining wall stabilization, sign structure repairs, pavement markings, drainage and highway safety improvements, ITS repairs, facility repairs, emergency work, material testing, permit work, work zone traffic control, shop drawing review, plant and material inspection, and possible nighttime inspection. The consultant will provide various engineering and inspection staff as needed, including project engineers, office engineers, chief inspectors, and inspectors with NICET certifications. The contract term is three years with options to extend for two additional one-year terms, and the estimated contract value may be up to $8 million.
