RFI: 5-Year IT Cabling Infrastructure & Maintenance Contract at Malmstrom AFB

This opportunity is an early-stage Request for Information (RFI) from the Department of the Air Force, 341st Missile Wing at Malmstrom AFB, seeking industry input for a 5-year, firm-fixed-price contract for IT cabling infrastructure and maintenance. - Scope includes: - Installation, upgrade, and maintenance of fiber optic and CAT6 cabling (inside and outside plant) - Installation of racks, cabinets, cable trays, patch panels, cable management, grounding, and labeling - Testing, certification (including Tier 1 OLTS and Tier 2 OTDR), and abatement/removal of cabling - Composite crew labor for normal, after-hours, urgent, and emergency response - Compliance with BICSI standards, OEM requirements, and safety/security protocols - Contract structure: - 5-year duration, no option periods - Guaranteed minimum order of $40,000 per year; maximum contract value of $5 million over 5 years - Single CLIN for fiber optic cable upgrades, with detailed unit-based pricing for tasks - The government is requesting feedback on pricing structure, response times, supply chain concerns, and the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) - No specific OEMs or brands are mandated, but compliance with OEM standards is required - Invoicing via WAWF or Government Purchase Card for orders below the minimum threshold - Opportunity is open to all qualified vendors capable of meeting the technical and performance requirements
