This opportunity involves the City of Rolling Hills Estates seeking a qualified contractor for citywide landscape maintenance services. - Government Buyer: - City of Rolling Hills Estates (City Clerk's Office) - Scope of Services: - Comprehensive landscape maintenance for approximately 177.7 acres of parkland, 25 miles of equestrian and bridle trails, 10 miles of bicycle paths, 30 miles of public streets, landscaped medians, rights-of-way, roadway corridors, and community entry features - Services include turf mowing, edging, aeration, dethatching, overseeding, fertilization (using 21-3-5 or equivalent fertilizer), pruning, trimming, hedging, plant care, irrigation inspection and repair, weed and vegetation control, pest and rodent management, litter and debris removal, green waste handling, and environmental compliance - Annual bedding plant installation and maintenance - Emergency response within two hours for urgent landscape issues - Notable Requirements: - Contractor must hold a valid California C-27 Contractor’s License and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) - All work must be self-performed unless pre-approved for subcontracting - Compliance with California SB 1383 for organic waste and restrictions on chemical use - Annual price adjustments based on CPI, capped at 4% per year unless otherwise approved - Adherence to prevailing wage laws and safety standards - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named in the solicitation - No product part numbers or quantities specified for equipment or materials - The contract is expected to run for approximately five years, with annual renewals and potential for early termination by the city

The City of Rolling Hills Estates is soliciting proposals for comprehensive landscape maintenance services across approximately 177.7 acres of city properties including parks, trails, streets, medians, rights-of-way, and community entry features. The contractor will provide labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and incidentals for turf care, pruning, irrigation maintenance, weed and pest control, litter removal, and environmental compliance. The contract term is approximately five years, from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2031, requiring a valid California C-27 Contractor’s License and DIR registration.
