Description
This work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, access, and materials for replacing the hydraulic swivel coupling and trolley hydraulic hoses that operate the hydraulic swivel coupling on the piggyback crane meeting the requirements of this specification at Meldahl Locks and Dam. The existing brackets shall be replaced by the contractor with draw chains. All components shall be new. The Contractor shall be responsible for the proper handling, maintenance, storage and protection of all materials and equipment until installed and accepted. Once all these items are installed, the Contractor shall test the crane to ensure the crane operates without further issues to these components. Contractor shall remedy any issues and retest until the crane is returned to service. Prior to any work being performed, the Contractor shall ensure that all crane operating machinery is properly secured and all components immobilized to prevent damage. The crane system must be de-energized prior to removal. Coordinate with the Project Personnel to properly Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) the equipment being serviced.
