Description
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has prepared a final supplemental environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact regarding the field release of the knotweed psyllid Aphalara itadori from Murakami, Japan. This release is intended for the classical biological control of invasive Japanese, giant, and Bohemian knotweeds within the contiguous United States. APHIS determined that the release will not have significant environmental impacts and therefore an environmental impact statement is not required. Permits for the release have been authorized based on this finding.
