Description
The Kalamazoo Valley Museum intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of objects of cultural patrimony and have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The two objects of cultural patrimony are a net sinker and a comb, with historical and cultural importance central to the Native Village of Barrow Inupiat Traditional Government. Repatriation may occur on or after July 22, 2026. Requests for repatriation must be sent to the Collections Manager of the Kalamazoo Valley Museum.
