This notice announces the completion of an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Lakeview, OR, in compliance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Lakeview, OR - Inventory Details: - Human remains representing at least three individuals - Four associated funerary objects: - One lot of large non-human bones - One lot of basketry material - One small broken stick - One lot of unidentifiable and non-human long bone fragments - Items excavated from Connley Cave #3, Fort Rock, Lake County, OR - Curated at the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History - Cultural Affiliation: - Remains and objects affiliated with: - Burns Paiute Tribe - Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon - Fort Bidwell Indian Community of the Fort Bidwell Reservation of California - The Klamath Tribes - Notable Requirements: - This is a repatriation notice under NAGPRA, not a procurement or contract opportunity - No OEMs, vendors, or commercial products/services are involved

Description

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects. The inventory determined a cultural affiliation between the human remains and associated funerary objects and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice includes details about the repatriation process and the affiliated tribes. Repatriation may occur on or after July 22, 2026.
